We’re building Cheque, a smarter way for businesses to get paid faster. Instead of static payment terms, we turn invoices into dynamic markets where vendors offer early payment discounts and buyers earn returns by paying early.

The founding team previously ran one of Europe’s top startup incubators, launched a VC fund and raised $10m, and scaled tech products internationally. We’re ambitious and unafraid, with a vision of making Cheque the largest financial institution in the world. 

We’re now looking for a curious, hands-on Founding Product Designer to join the early team.

You’ll work directly with the founders, and engineers to shape how Cheque looks, feels, and works. You’ll design flows, prototypes, and interfaces, and help bridge the gap between design and engineering. The smaller that gap is, the better. That’s why we value designers who can move beyond Figma into interactive prototyping tools like v0, Cursor, and Framer, and who speak the same language as engineers and other stakeholders.

You’ll have significant ownership over our design direction and workflow. You’ll move fast, prototype faster, and collaborate directly with founders and engineers to make things real, not perfect. We value designers who cut through noise, ship iteratively, and bring a sense of ownership to every pixel they touch.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has strong experience designing intuitive, modern web apps and workflows

• Works well in ambiguity and prefers working with loose ideas over perfect briefs

• Communicates well with both engineering and business teams

• Is fluent in Figma, and tools like v0, Cursor, and Framer for prototyping, and is curious about new tools, trends, and ways of working

• Understands how frontends are built (basic familiarity with React/Next.js or similar) 

• Has a bias toward simplicity, clarity, and taste
